Pink Boots Society & Stereo Brewing Unveil - Rebel Rebel

Back on March 8th, the ladies of the Orange County chapter of the Pink Boots Society participated in the annual Collaboration Brew Days. A celebration of International Women's Day, there were seven different Orange County breweries that produced a collaboration beer.

Cementing an ongoing partnership with Yakima Chief Hops, the Pink Boots Society creates their own blend of hops every year during the Great American Beer Fest. A portion of sales from each pound sold then goes right back into the Society's efforts to educate and support women in craft beer.

Of the breweries that participated in the creative effort, Anaheim Brewery, lead by brewer and Pink Boots member Barbara Gerovac churned out their UNITE Belgian Tripel. Backstreet Brewery crafted their BABY BOOTS IPA and paired the collaboration with their own "Teach Your Daughter to Brew" Day. Gamecraft Brewing went with a Hazy IPA and released UNPLANNED VARIABLE. Karl Strauss followed suit and produced their own PBS Hazy IPA. San Clemente's Lost Winds Brewing also made a Hazy but hey went double. Huntington Beach's Riip Beer Company introduced their CAST A PINK SHADOW West Coast IPA.

The most recent release from the Collaboration Brew Day effort comes from Stereo Brewing. Owner/brewer Rick Smets along assistant brewer Dylan Macsata worked with the PBS to launch the David Bowie inspired REBEL REBEL Hazy IPA. Described as both dank and citrusy, the beer is currently available at the Placentia taproom.
