This week, Beach Grease Beer Company is teaming up with Beer Savage to begin an initiative that steers the focus away from their respective brands and emphasizes their greater community. Calling their collaboration "People Before Profits," the aim is simple, give back not only when things are flush, but even when things are bust.
In a statement release by Beach Grease, their mission is better detailed. "Our community has been compromised by the current impact of COVID-19. The fear and uncertainty of the weeks, if not months, to come has every business scrambling to do what’s best for meeting their current needs, all while completely forgetting about figuring out ways to help others. Do not ignore the immutable laws of energy, which is that we only get by giving."
Starting Friday, participating Board and Brew locations will be selling Beach Grease's Surf Reaper IPA and Surf Zombie Hazy. Sales will continue online (www.BeachGreaseBeerCo.com), at the brewery, and wholesale. Beach Grease has committed to giving 30% of all sales to Local Hearts Foundation and La Vuelta Barrio Logan. These organizations will be able to appropriate the funds towards efforts that directly impact the community with no red tape. In addition to the beer, Beer Savage created a merchandise line that adds another means of support for a very admirable cause.
Beer Savage and Beach Grease Beer Co. will be at the San Clemente Board & Brew location Friday April 10th to officially launch the initiative. All merchandise and beer will be sold safely while adhering to the recommendations of health officials regarding social distancing.
